The French FTTH market keeps increasing at a fast pace despite the pandemic

The number of FTTH connections in France has experienced a massive growth over the last few months. Indeed, more than 600,000 new subscribers have been connected to the optical fiber network from April to June 2020, despite the country being in lockdown for most of the quarter. At the end of the year, FTTH connections should account for around 30% of the total number of fixed broadband connections. Furthermore, in early September, the French government announced an additional investment of €240 million in public initiative fiber networks, aiming to reach 100% of fiber coverage by 2025.
