As consumer demand for IOT devices and services grows driven by the materialization of the smart home concept, the need to secure home connectivity becomes critical. COVID-19 lockdowns and the ensuing explosion of remote work, remote education, digital entertainment, family web-conferencing, tele-medicine and even home-based fitness training has accelerated the demand for data privacy and security. Yet many of the devices that consumers are introducing into their homes come with little or no built-in security.
