At a first glance, the results of Dataxis In-Car Survey from February 2026 suggest that only moderate interest in in-car video streaming among Europeans from the UK, France and Germany. Overall, just 38% of respondents said they would like to access video apps while their car is parked, with lower percentages in France (34%) and Germany (32%). However, a closer look at the data reveals a distinct pattern: the interest is concentrated among specific groups. Owners of cars less than three years old (53% of respondents interested across the three countries) and drivers of premium brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi (reaching a 60% interest) are the most enthusiastic about the feature. The UK stands out, with 76% of premium car owners and 63% of owners of newer vehicles expressing interest in accessing video apps while parked. This highlights a clear trend: the exposure to new in-car services such as video streaming strongly drives the perceived value of users. Those who are familiar with such features are more likely to show interest in them. In-car video remains an emerging feature, largely limited to premium and recent vehicles. Awareness is still low, but as availability expands and communication improves, adoption potential appears far stronger than the headline figures suggest.
