FAST channels: the new media eldorado?

FAST is becoming increasingly core into distributors’ and content owners’ strategies, as a way to better promote old catalogs, to rebundle existing content offers, and to provide an appealing alternative to SVOD services while addressing a segment that was a bit left behind: live streaming.
FAST is growing faster than SVOD and other OTT services. Overall, AVOD is expected to become bigger than Advertising TV in the US, and FAST will be one of the core revenue drivers.
Hence AVOD players and content owners have been multiplying distribution partnerships with CTV and connected devices manufacturers, but also with other FAST platforms, to ensure the widest coverage possible when it comes to FAST content (example: Cinedigm which has been aggressively distributing its own channels through a growing number of platforms in 2022, multiplying its reach by more than 5 in a single year).
