Tencent posts lowest global results since 2004

Chinese media giant Tencent’s global results grew just 8% from a year ago, showing the first effects of the government’s new regulations to strengthen control over the Chinese media industry. Additionally, Tencent’s video service WETV lost 5 million subscribers over the course of 2021’s last quarter.
